Microsoft Flight Simulator released World Update 23: Poland and the Baltics on Oct. 26, 2026, adding detailed regional coverage of Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, and Poland.

Microsoft Flight Simulator said the update is free for every owner of Microsoft Flight Simulator. The team partnered with Bing Places, Asobo, and Gaya to produce it.

Microsoft Flight Simulator said World Update 23 reaches Xbox Series X|S, Game Pass, PC, PlayStation 5, PS VR2, Steam, and supported mobile phones, tablets, and lower-spec PCs through Xbox Cloud Gaming. The company called it the franchise’s first regional update covering those four countries.

Microsoft Flight Simulator said the update contains 12 photogrammetry areas of interest, with eight in Poland, two in Lithuania, one in Latvia, and one in Estonia. The areas use updated photogrammetry, which builds 3D models from photographs, TIN surface texturing, a terrain mesh, and digital elevation model data, which maps the height of the ground. Named areas include Tallinn in Estonia, Riga in Latvia, Kaunas and Vilnius in Lithuania, and Gdansk, Katowice, Krakow, Lodz, Poznan, Warsaw, and Wroclaw in Poland. Warsaw is Poland’s capital and most populous city, and Krakow served as the official capital until 1596.

Microsoft Flight Simulator said the update adds 77 points of interest, including castles, lighthouses, cathedrals, bridges, and towers. Estonia’s highlights include Angla Windmill Park, Keri Lighthouse, and Kõpu Lighthouse, the third oldest continuously operating lighthouse in the world and the oldest on the Baltic Sea.

Microsoft Flight Simulator said Latvia’s points include Ēdole Castle, a rare restored New-Gothic Tudor castle from the 19th century, and Kolka Lighthouse, which stands on an artificial island 5.2 km off the coast in the Irbe Straight. The company describes Riga Radio and TV Tower as the tallest tower in the European Union and Rundāle Palace as a massive Baroque building often called the Versailles of the Baltic.

Microsoft Flight Simulator said Lithuania’s points include Lazdininkai Windmill, a 200-year-old historic wooden Dutch-style windmill, and Lyduvenai Bridge, one of the country’s longest bridges crossing the Dubysa River. The company describes Old Zabyskis Church as an Early Gothic church built from 1530 to 1578, and Trakai Island Castle as a castle on an island in Lake Galve, with construction beginning in the 14th century.

Microsoft Flight Simulator said Poland’s points include Malbork Castle, the largest brick castle in the world, and Sopot Pier, the longest wooden pier in Europe. The company describes Urania Hall as a futuristic building with a massive concrete dome encircled by a large ring.

Microsoft Flight Simulator said partner Gaya included five handcrafted airports: Kärdla Airport (EEKA) in Estonia, Jūrmala Airport (EVJA) in Latvia, Palanga International Airport (EYPA) in Lithuania, Warsaw-Babice Airport (EPBC) in Poland, and Opole-Kamień Śląski Airport (EPKN) in Poland. The company called Gaya its long-term partner.

Microsoft Flight Simulator said Kärdla is the only airport on Hiiumaa island and a vital lifeline for residents. Jūrmala dates to the 1930s, once housed a Soviet nuclear weapons bunker, and now serves as a museum and base for the Baltic Bees aerobatic team. Palanga is Lithuania’s third-largest airport and the main gateway to its Baltic Sea region.

Microsoft Flight Simulator said Warsaw-Babice sits within the capital and focuses on private aviation, turboprop operations, and flight training. Opole-Kamień Śląski originated as a German military airfield in the mid-1930s, operates today as a small private airfield, and hosts the Silesia Ring racetrack and Porsche Experience Center Poland.

Microsoft Flight Simulator said the 2024 edition of the simulator receives three Discovery Flights, to Warsaw, Sigulda, and Tallinn, and four Precision Landings. The Precision Landings use a Textron Aviation Cessna Citation CJ4 at Kärdla Airport, an Airbus A310-300 at Jūrmala Airport, an Airbus A320neo at Palanga International Airport, and a Textron Aviation Beechcraft King Air 350i at Opole-Kamień Śląski Airport.

Microsoft Flight Simulator said the 2024 edition also includes a Sopot Landing Challenge, a Guided Tour of Tatra National Park, and a Rally Race. The Sopot Landing Challenge draws from Polish Red Bull Air Race pilot Łukasz Czepiela landing a custom-modified CubCrafters STOL aircraft on the wooden pier in Sopot. The company said, “World Update 23: Poland and the Baltics adds stunning detail to regions throughout Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, and Poland!”

Microsoft Flight Simulator said the 2020 edition of the simulator receives three Discovery Flights and four Landing Challenges at Kärdla Airport, Jūrmala Airport, Palanga International Airport, and Opole-Kamień Śląski Airport, using the same aircraft as the 2024 Precision Landings. The 2020 version does not include the Sopot Landing Challenge, Guided Tour, or Rally Race.

Microsoft Flight Simulator said players must update Microsoft Flight Simulator to the latest version before downloading World Update 23 at no charge. The company directs players to @MSFSOfficial on X and flightsimulator.com for the latest information on Microsoft Flight Simulator.
