Aggro Crab and Landfall will launch Peak on PlayStation 5 on October 22, 2026
Aggro Crab and Landfall’s developers first met at a game developer conference in 2022. The game originated from a one‑month game jam in Seoul, South Korea, in February 2025, involving three Aggro Crab and four Landfall developers. After the jam, the team reunited in Sweden in June 2025 to finish development of Peak.
Peak is a co‑op climbing game where a single mistake can cause failure, and players must scale a mysterious mountain to secure rescue. The game includes a rule that players must never abandon a friend in need. The PlayStation 5 version enables crossplay with up to three friends across different platforms.
It also contains all content updates, biomes, and items released since the game’s initial launch. Players ascend a procedurally‑generated mountain with four distinct biomes, relying on teamwork to manage stamina, hazards, and survival needs. Along the climb, gatherable items such as energy drinks, climbing spikes, and ropes can aid progression or support teammates.
The game holds a “Very Positive” rating on Steam, with over 90% of user reviews favorable. Peak costs under US 8, emphasizing accessible co‑op gameplay. Peak sold over one million copies on Steam within six days of its release, as announced by Aggro Crab on June 22, 2025. Peak reached 10 million copies sold by August 2025, after hitting the one‑million mark in its first six days.

Aggro Crab’s earlier title, Another Crab’s Treasure, sold about 100,000 units in its opening weekend and nearly 500,000 units total since release. Peak’s The Roots update, released November 6, 2025, adds a forest biome inspired by the Pacific North West, featuring giant spiders and risky mushrooms. The update also modifies the cooking system, allowing players to see effects of non‑food items in fire and to detoxify berries but not mushrooms.
