Stairway Games and Balor Games announced at The MIX Fall Game Showcase on October 16, 2026 that Coral Island will launch on Nintendo Switch 2 in winter 2026. The free 1.4 Kids Grow Up update will accompany the Switch 2 launch.
Coral Island is a cozy coastal farming sim where players can grow crops and raise animals. The gameplay supports solo play or cooperative sessions for up to four friends who can share the same game world. Players can tend to Starlet Town, safeguard the surrounding nature, swim underwater, and discover the enchanted Merfolk Kingdom.
Gamers can meet the island’s varied residents, form romantic bonds, and raise a family. The 1.4 Kids Grow Up update adds new family milestones as children grow and develop hobbies.
Thanks to the 1.4 Kids Grow Up update, the town’s children age, unlocking fresh storylines and interactions in Starlet Town. Coral Island can currently be played on PC through Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S ahead of its Nintendo Switch 2 launch.
