PlayStation confirms Aloft and Conan Exiles Enhanced for PS5 in early 2027

PlayStation Blog announced on October 27, 2026 that Aloft and Conan Exiles Enhanced will launch on PlayStation 5 in early 2027.

The announcement covers two open-world survival games coming to PlayStation 5. Aloft is a cozy co-op sandbox survival game set in the clouds and marks the title’s console debut on the platform, with Funcom as publisher. In Aloft, players turn floating islands into skyships, build homes among the clouds, and explore a colorful open world solo or alongside friends.

The story centers on curing fungal corruption, restoring the ecosystem, uncovering lost knowledge, and braving hurricanes. Astrolabe spent six years building the game as the team expanded from a small group of friends into the studio. Astrolabe has issued five major content updates since Early Access, including new wildlife, puzzles, combat upgrades, glider customization, and broader exploration.

Astrolabe Interactive Chief Executive Officer Manuel Bergeron said this announcement marks a brand-new chapter for Aloft. The PlayStation 5 version includes every update from the PC Early Access period plus the 1.0 release, and the game arrives on PlayStation 5 at the same time as the PC 1.0 release in early 2027, matching Steam 1.0 with more than two years of updates. Early Access lets players play a game while it is still in development. On Steam, Aloft is listed as a Windows game by Astrolabe Interactive and Funcom, launched January 15, 2025, at $24.99, while a PlayStation 5 price remains unshared.

Conan Exiles Enhanced is coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Existing PlayStation owners will receive the PlayStation 5 version free.

The Enhanced edition improves environments, characters, lighting, and effects, introduces a redesigned user interface, and provides performance and quality-of-life upgrades. Conan Exiles Enhanced will support full cross-play shortly after it launches. Cross-play lets players on different platforms play together in the same game. The game will arrive on consoles with the Legacy of the Giant-Kings narrative included from day one.

The Enhanced edition blends the Exiled Lands with the Isle of Siptah expansion into one seamless experience, while Isle of Siptah remains sold separately. Purchased Bazaar content and downloadable content transfer from PlayStation 4 to PlayStation 5, and buying one version grants the other at no cost. Bazaar is the in-game marketplace, and downloadable content is extra game material released after launch.

Conan Exiles is approaching its 10th anniversary. Funcom Chief Executive Officer Scott Junior called the Enhanced release an exciting milestone while hoping to support the game for 10 more years. Conan Exiles is currently available on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.

“We’ve heard loud and clear from our console community that they want to experience the Enhanced version of Conan Exiles,” Scott Junior said. Conan Exiles Enhanced first arrived as a complimentary Steam update in May 2025 and later moved to consoles. The game uses Unreal Engine 5, which delivers enhanced visuals, improved performance, and a more integrated world. Unreal Engine 5 is a game development platform used to build modern games.

The announcement follows the PlayStation 5 launch of Dune: Awakening on September 22, 2026, which Funcom framed as a first step. PlayStation Blog stated, “We’ve just launched Dune: Awakening on PlayStation 5, but we’re only getting started.”

Players can wishlist both titles now on PlayStation Store, and early 2027 is the only release window announced. Funcom has not set exact release dates for either game and will share dates and more details later.

Funcom Chief Creative Officer Joel Bylos called the free upgrade an anniversary gift and token of appreciation for fans past, present, and future. Inflexion Games Chief Executive Officer Aaryn Flynn said the Unreal Engine 5 collaboration creates a new foundation for the next decade of Conan Exiles adventures. The PC version targets smooth 60-plus frames per second gameplay across low, medium, high, and ultra settings and also delivers strong performance on Steam Deck.

Funcom published Aloft and also released Dune: Awakening on PlayStation 5. HappyGamer reported that Funcom framed the two survival titles as the next step after that launch.
