Xbox confirms more than 10 Game Pass additions for 25th anniversary week

Xbox will mark its 25th anniversary on Sunday, Nov. 15, 2026, by adding eight games to Game Pass Essential, the tier limited to its dedicated list, that day and six more across the anniversary week, for more than 10 confirmed additions in total. Pure Xbox said additional titles could still be announced before the anniversary date arrives.

Football Manager 27, Tanuki: Pon’s Summer and Warhammer Survivors join Game Pass on Nov. 10, 2026, as day one launches, meaning they appear on the service at release. Tanuki: Pon’s Summer is a BMX postman game where players deliver packages to restore a shrine before summer ends, and it is excluded from Game Pass Premium. Warhammer Survivors is an official bullet-heaven game (a shooter where players dodge dense waves of projectiles) from the developers of Warhammer 40,000 Boltgun featuring over 40 champions.

John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando launches on Game Pass on Nov. 12, 2026, as a four-player cooperative first-person shooter where players fight monster hordes. Pure Xbox presented it as inspired by a classic cooperative formula where players pick a character and save the world with friends. It is available on Game Pass Premium, Ultimate and PC.

On Nov. 15, Game Pass Essential adds Banjo Kazooie, Banjo Tooie, Banjo Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts, Gears of War: Judgement, Halo: Spartan Assault, Perfect Dark, Viva Piñata and Viva Piñata: TIP. Gematsu said these older and classic titles arrive on Cloud and Console, while Halo: Spartan Assault also reaches PC. These eight Essential additions are separate from the six games arriving earlier in the anniversary week. The Essential library is updated two to three times a year, placing this anniversary batch within its regular cadence.

Thronefall and Hope in the City both join on Nov. 11, 2026, on Series X|S, PC and Cloud. Thronefall is a minimalist strategy game about building a kingdom by day and defending it by night, while Hope in the City is a mystery adventure about a 17-year-old artist searching for missing parents after her apartment is ransacked. Hope in the City is excluded from Game Pass Premium, and Gematsu lists Thronefall as available on Premium, Ultimate and PC.

Football Manager 27 arrives on Series X|S, PC and Cloud on Nov. 10 for Ultimate and PC subscribers, though the PC and console versions are excluded from Game Pass Premium. The PC edition received a PC Launch Preview on Nov. 3, 2026, before its full release on Nov. 10. Pure Xbox describes it as extremely addictive football management where players choose clubs, shape squads and set tactics.

Thirteen games leave Game Pass on Nov. 15, 2026, including 1000xRESIST, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, GoldenEye 007, Moonlighter and Wreckfest. Football Manager 26 departs on Nov. 10, 2026, ahead of the larger removal wave. TechWiser said most November 15 departures leave across Console, PC and Cloud, while GoldenEye 007 is only listed for Console and Cloud, and members can usually buy departing games at a discount before they go.

Microsoft also announced new Game Pass titles for early to mid-November 2026 beyond the anniversary week, and TechWiser confirmed Gravhounds as part of that November lineup. Pit of Goblin arrives on Nov. 3, and Void/Breaker reaches Version 1.0 on Nov. 4 as a roguelite first-person shooter (a permadeath shooter with random runs) about breaking free from a hostile AI cycle; Eurogamer lists the addition date without tier detail. Vampire Crawlers: The Turbo Wildcard reaches Game Pass Premium on Nov. 4 as a hyper turn-based, rogue-lite card-driven blobber (a card-driven dungeon crawler) from the creators of Vampire Survivors.

Escape Academy 2: Back 2 School comes on Nov. 5 on Cloud, Xbox Series X|S, Handheld and PC as a day one release with Ultimate and PC Game Pass, and it is the first open-world escape room game with online and local two-player co-op. MySims: Cozy Bundle follows on Nov. 5 on Cloud, Console and PC with Ultimate and PC Game Pass. Paw Patrol: Dino World arrives on Nov. 17 on Cloud, Console and PC with Ultimate, Premium and PC Game Pass with two-player co-op.

Eurogamer explains that Game Pass Ultimate includes everything, PC focuses on PC games, Essential is limited to its dedicated list, and Premium includes everything except Day One releases. Eurogamer says plan prices differ, but all plans include Xbox Backward Compatibility on PC.

Pure Xbox said Microsoft may add more Game Pass titles during the anniversary week, though the listed titles are the ones confirmed so far. TechWiser reported Microsoft may announce even more additions and departures throughout November 2026.
