Activision Blizzard confirmed that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 will not be available on Xbox Game Pass at its October 23, 2026, launch across Xbox Series X|S, PC, PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2.
It will join Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass in the 2027 holiday season, a year after its October 2026 release. In April 2026, Xbox lowered Game Pass Ultimate to $22.99 and PC Game Pass to $13.99 per month. Xbox also announced that Call of Duty titles would not be available on Game Pass at launch and would instead arrive a year after release.
Digital pre‑orders grant campaign early access starting October 16, 2026, and DMZ early access starting October 20, 2026. The full release of Modern Warfare 4 will happen on October 23, 2026, across Xbox Series X|S, PC, PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2. Game Pass subscribers get a 10% discount on Modern Warfare 4 Vault Edition pre‑orders until October 23, 2026.
Modern Warfare 4 will not launch on Xbox One or PlayStation 4, and will not be available on those consoles after its launch. In the US, the Standard edition costs $69.99 and the Vault Edition costs $99.99 at launch. In the UK, the Standard edition costs £69.99 and the Vault Edition costs £99.99 at launch.
Battlefield 6 will be available on Xbox Game Pass starting October 13, 2026. This is ten days before Modern Warfare 4’s launch on October 23, 2026.
