Andrej “babybay” Francisty is weighing options with Chinese organizations ahead of the 2027 campaign, according to Esports Insider. The report also says that G2 Esports chose to part ways with babybay ahead of the 2027 season. Eduardo “Sato” Nagahama is lined up to join G2 in babybay’s place. The move was finalized before Champions Shanghai began, and no Chinese team has been named as babybay’s next destination yet.

Esports Insider’s reporting traces babybay’s recent G2 tenure to August 2025, when he came back to play after stepping away at the close of 2023. He took a spot on G2 during Stage 2 of 2025, replacing Nathan “leaf” Orf. The change helped G2 capture the Stage 2 championship and advance to Champions Paris. Nathan “leaf” Orf returned to the lineup before the Champions Paris tournament.

According to Esports Insider, after Jonah “JonahP” Pulice moved to Sentinels at the close of 2025, babybay stayed put at G2 through 2026. The same reporting noted that Sheep Esports described babybay as G2’s second-highest-rated player at Champions Shanghai.

Esports Insider reported that G2 captured the VCT Americas Stage 1 title in 2026 and advanced to Masters Santiago. At Champions Shanghai, the team moved out of its group and beat 100 Thieves and T1 in the playoff bracket. G2 ended the tournament in the top four, exiting in the semifinals.

Esports Insider reports that babybay intended to stay in China after Champions Shanghai while he evaluated the offers that came in. His time in the country made staying there a top priority. He is expected to consider the proposals while based in China, though no destination or decision date has been set.

Esports Insider noted that the VCT China scene is taking shape ahead of the next season, and babybay’s options will sharpen only if a team and player reach an agreement. At this point, babybay’s potential move to China is still being considered and is not a done deal.
