Anbernic announced the RG DDS, introducing a new dual-screen handheld that serves as the company’s flagship model.

The RG DDS occupies a position above the earlier RG DS and RG DS Plus models in Anbernic’s product line. The RG DDS’s clamshell form and screen proportions are inspired by the Nintendo 3DS and New Nintendo 3DS.

The RG DDS’s top screen measures 4.7 inches with a 1200×720 pixel resolution, while the bottom screen is 4 inches at 960×720 pixels. Both IPS panels deliver up to 500 nits brightness and approximately 300 pixels per inch. The resolutions enable exact 3× integer scaling of the Nintendo 3DS’s original 400×240‑per‑eye and 320×240 touchscreen images.

Dual full‑size analogue sticks are built into the RG DDS. Front‑firing stereo speakers provide audio output, while a Z‑axis linear vibration motor supplies haptic feedback.
