AYANEO unveiled AYASpace 2, an all-new Android software experience for its handhelds, during a product sharing session livestreamed on social media on Oct. 30, 2026.
The launcher uses a skeuomorphic design, which makes digital objects look like physical ones, showing box art and cartridges in 3D so a library feels like a personal collection. Stands, gold plaques, top-down lighting and aligned fonts complete the museum look, and the software adapts to each handheld’s screen size and button layout.
The system recognizes games automatically by reading file contents rather than filenames, so renamed files still work. The system uses a database of assets and smart recognition to sync game details and media. Built-in game data supplies names, years, genres and publishers for each title, with details downloaded for each game from an internal database. The reviewer noted that smart recognition appears to rely on good game files and perfectly titled files, though they had not seen it in person.
The launcher includes the emulator, software that lets the handheld run software made for another system, so users do not need to install a separate emulator or configure settings first. In-AYASpace tweaks map to the emulator itself, letting users save, load, fast-forward and rewind without leaving the frontend. A rewind feature lets users scrub a timeline back to the exact moment of a mistake, so a slip does not require starting over.
Save data can sync between two AYANEO handhelds on the same network, and the software includes save backups. Cross-device syncing works by logging in and sharing a pairing code between devices, and saves sync as well, enabling instant playability across AYANEO handhelds.
Users can customize box art, cartridge art, layout and style, exploring each console section with the device’s shoulder buttons. Cartridges display in a box to organize consoles with many game files, and users can download 3D displays and files of the boxes themselves. The visual design includes clean cartridge storage and minimal aligned fonts in a minimal royal look.
AYASpace 2 is available for download only on the KONKR Pocket Advance, KONKR Pocket Block and AYANEO Pocket Micro 2. The initial release focuses on Game Boy Advance games. AYANEO has no information on when it will update the launcher for consoles beyond Game Boy Advance, which was the only console showcased on the livestream.
AYANEO also revealed the Konkr Pocket Advance on July 31, 2026. The handheld will ship with Android pre-installed along with AYASpace retro game management software, AYAHome custom launcher and AYASetting. It will launch in two colors, Navy Blue and Coral Orange, though Ayaneo did not rule out colors or special editions in the future.

It measures 151.3 × 82.4 × 22 millimeters and weighs approximately 224 grams, almost double the Game Boy Advance’s 140 grams, or 188 grams with two AA batteries. The 3.5-inch high definition LCD has 960 × 640 resolution and a 3:2 aspect ratio, using 4x point-to-point display technology to restore retro game graphic details.
Ports include a USB 2.0 Type-C port with PD fast charging, a microSD card slot, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.0 and an audio jack. Processor, RAM, storage and battery capacity were not disclosed, and Ayaneo did not announce a release date or price, saying details would come through social media channels or another product sharing session.
The Konkr Pocket Advance menu shown during the session is capable of emulating consoles up to the PlayStation 2. AYANEO’s CEO Arthur played Game Boy Advance games and a classic God of War game, and the menu look indicated broader emulation ability.
AYASpace 2 is separate from AYANEO’s earlier Windows software.
AYANEO said AYASpace 2.0 came with a rebuilt underlying architecture and added joystick and keyboard lighting effects, custom buttons and touchpads, motion sensing EX, and performance mode 2.0. The upgrade continued AYASpace 1.0’s advantages while responding to changes in demand and player feedback. AYANEO will push over-the-air updates for players still using AYASpace 1.0 so they can upgrade directly to 2.0 within the software. Players can revert to 1.0 by downloading its installation package from the AYANEO official website, an option that exists for compatibility or usage habit reasons.
AYASpace 2.0’s Quick Setup window lets players adjust performance and console settings based on usage scenarios, with performance scene modes for AAA Games, Normal Game, Retro Games and PC office. The interface was upgraded with mechanisms and displays more in line with handheld console operations, optimizing the interactive experience and making AYASpace smoother. The upgrade lets players release full host power through performance mode whether playing AAA games, independent small games or doing PC office work.
