Hello Games announced that No Man’s Sky will be released for iPhone and iPad on October 28, 2026.

Players will be able to try the opening section of the game for free and unlock the full experience with a one‑time purchase. The iOS release will make No Man’s Sky available on Apple’s mobile devices in addition to its existing availability on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Switch 2, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC via Steam and Microsoft Store.

Hello Games confirmed that the iOS download will occupy less than 5 gigabytes of storage, with some sources noting an approximate size of 4 GB. The mobile port includes all major updates released during the game’s first ten years, such as the COSMOS update and the 2025 Voyagers update that introduced customizable big‑rig starships.

The iOS port features rebuilt touch controls and also supports optional controllers, mouse and keyboard on iPad, as well as casting to a television. Pre‑orders for the iOS edition opened on October 12, 2026, as part of Apple’s App Store Indie Games Week.

The iOS version needs iOS 26.0 or later and runs on devices that have an A12 Bionic chip or later; the same applies to iPadOS 26.0 or later with an A12 Bionic chip or later. Hello Games indicated that the game will run on iPhone 11 and newer models and on iPad Air (3rd generation) and later, corresponding to devices with an A12 Bionic chip or later.

Only iPhone 15 Pro and later models (and same iPad models with A17 Pro or M‑series chips) will support certain advanced features such as Planetary Settlements, due to hardware‑accelerated ray tracing requirements. At launch, the iOS version will not feature multiplayer or settlements, matching the initial limitations of the Nintendo Switch port, and Hello Games said it will consider adding those features based on player feedback, as it did for Switch 2.
