The Detour mod launched on 10. Oktober 2026 for PC, according to Benjamin Brüninghaus, Patrik Hasberg GbR PlayCentral. It introduces a new town to Fallout 4’s Commonwealth.

Detour introduces a new settlement to the Commonwealth for players to explore and adds voiced non‑player characters numbering over a dozen. Detour features over six hundred spoken lines, among them voiced replies for the player. The developers stress that no generative AI was used for any assets, with all voice work done by human actors. The expansion adds new quests, activities, vendors and a player‑owned home, plus fresh clothing items and apparel for the character. As noted by author Pig and the team, Detour is meant to serve as a platform for future expansions with more content planned. The credit list highlights Maverick Bates as Mr. Mayor and Smokey alongside David Pastore‑Theriaque as the Sheriff.

To run Detour you need the base Fallout 4 game on PC together with the Nuka‑World DLC, and you can skip the Reputation mod since the expansion already includes its own compatibility patch. Detour launched on 10. Oktober 2026 as version 1.0.0 for the PC version of Fallout 4.
