IO Interactive announced the Nintendo Switch 2 version of 007 First Light will launch on Mar. 18, 2027, for the Switch 2 platform. Pre-orders for the Deluxe Edition of 007 First Light on Switch 2 are now available. The Deluxe Edition is priced at $69.99/€69.99/£69.99. It includes the Gleaming Lighter, Gleaming Earphones, Gleaming Dart Gun and Gleaming Pen gadgets.
It also features the Day of the Dead, Desert Explorer, Silent Anchor and Gentleman Operator outfits. Pre-ordering the Switch 2 version grants early access to a GoldenEye suit. IO Interactive said the delay was needed for optimization and performance work on the Switch 2 port. The game was originally scheduled for release on Mar. 27, 2026 on all platforms.
It was subsequently delayed to May 27, 2026 before launching on PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC. After that, the Switch 2 version was pushed to the third quarter of 2026 and later to March 2027 without a specific date. IO Interactive presented playable builds at gamescom and Tokyo Game Show, receiving positive player and press feedback. The development team will continue refining optimization and performance on Switch 2 over the coming months.
007 First Light has sold over 4 million copies since its release. IO Interactive is also developing Project Fantasy and has added Snoop Dogg as an elusive target in Hitman World of Assassination.
