Outlets disagree on the exact number of new Grand Theft Auto VI screenshots in the gallery. Beebom, IGN Middle East, TweakTown and Yahoo Tech report 39 images, while Eurogamer and VICE report 38, Polygon reports 36, and Softonic says nearly 40. TweakTown says it counted 39 unique images by file name on the gallery page.

Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled to release on November 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Eurogamer lists PC at launch, while Yahoo Tech says the PC version is still unconfirmed. Pre-loading begins on November 10, 2026, and requires about 212 GB of storage or more than 200 GB of free space. IGN Middle East gives the install as 212 GB, while Polygon says players need more than 200 GB of free space and will compete with nearly 8 million other future players.

Reports cited by Softonic and IGN Middle East estimate Grand Theft Auto VI pre-orders at around $750 million ahead of the November 19 release. IGN Middle East reports Rockstar is staggering the launch by region, with Saudi Arabia’s unlock set for 12:00 AM on November 19 local time, potentially earlier than the U.S. date.

The launch gallery centers on playable protagonists Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos, showing them committing crimes, dancing at clubs, and spending time together in Vice City. Beebom reports a third-slide screenshot shows supporting characters Brian Heder and Lori Heder dancing alongside Jason and Lucia, and the thirteenth screenshot appears to feature rapper Kodak Black. Lucia Caminos appears in nearly all screenshots holding a weapon. One image shows an unknown blonde-haired character sitting in a car with Lucia, though it is unclear whether the figure is one of Jason Duval’s looks or a new character.

Several screenshots depict Jason Duval in combat gear and weapon confrontations, reflecting his ex-Army background first shown in the GTA 6 launch trailer. Beebom says Jason’s screenshots show him shooting weapons, weight-lifting, and racing with an unknown supporting character. Yahoo Tech describes one screenshot showing a gun-toting, tactical-geared Jason seemingly stepped off a military aircraft into a firefight, with a dog in the background wearing its own combat gear.

Beebom reports Lucia Caminos appears in nearly all screenshots holding a weapon, and one image shows an unknown blonde-haired character sitting in a car with her, though it is unclear whether the figure is one of Jason Duval’s looks or a new character. The outlet notes close-ups of some non-player characters look as detailed as Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos. One screenshot pays homage to Franklin and Chop’s poster by showing an NPC holding a dog on a chain on the ninth slide.

The screenshots showcase Vice City’s daytime and nighttime streets plus Leonida regions including Port Gellhorn, the Leonida Keys, and Grassrivers, Beebom and TweakTown describe. TweakTown’s file-name count assigns Vice City the largest share at 15 images. Non-player characters pack Vice City’s daytime and nighttime streets at a population density rarely seen in previous Grand Theft Auto games.

The screenshots show strip clubs, barber shops, and tattoo parlors created with meticulous detail, Beebom says. The outlet adds the Leonida Keys screenshots showcase aquatic life, while the Port Gellhorn screenshots showcase one of the strip clubs. The Grassrivers screenshots showcase the non-player characters and animals found in Leonida’s swampy wetlands region.

Eurogamer describes specific gallery images including a DJ set, a man with a pitbull, a tattooed man getting a haircut with a machine gun, a motorbike escape, and a dive bar where a band called The Rusty Anchor plays. The outlet also describes a dive bar scene where older ladies chat with a shirtless man drinking beer while The Rusty Anchor performs.

Polygon reports the screenshots depict Jason and Lucia involved in bank heists, vehicle thefts, police pursuits, and gatherings with intimidating locals in Leonida. The outlet points to detail in tattoos, hairstyles, sea creatures, and Leonida’s swamp residents. Polygon warns that certain images show exotic dancers and cabaret clubs in a risqué manner.

Yahoo Tech singles out one screenshot showing Jason Duval menaced by a knife-wielding human mullet, and another showing police officers with a mustache and aviator combination. An alligator appears in the screenshots. One screenshot shows a scarred man with heterochromia who has two varieties of dead reptile within arm’s length. The gallery includes wide-angle shots of police raids, hazy meadow sunsets, high-speed chase stills, and scuba diving scenes.

Rockstar’s marketing campaign includes worldwide billboards, posters, and bus decals, a Miami Heat arena takeover with GTA branding, in-universe beer sales at bars, a Vice City blimp over Miami, and an NBA event called “A Night in Vice City” on November 18, 2026. IGN Middle East reports the Miami Heat will become the Vice City Heat, wear GTA-themed jerseys, and play the Milwaukee Bucks on a new court during the November 18 event. Miami’s nightclubs have been turned into Grand Theft Auto clubs as part of a total takeover by Rockstar.

The company released what IGN Middle East describes as the expected final Grand Theft Auto VI trailer last month. The gallery arrives after 13 years of waiting and follows the expected final trailer. Softonic says fake gameplay clips went viral earlier, trading on speculation before Rockstar’s screenshots gave the countdown firmer visual footing.

Rockstar is rolling out Grand Theft Auto VI with caution after leaks tied to Cyberleek. Softonic says Edge’s recent coverage featured 12 images and details from a 90-minute hands-off presentation, suggesting Edge is a better source for gameplay clues than the cinematic launch screenshots.

The company added no captions or story details to the new screenshots. TweakTown notes the gallery provides no captions. Eurogamer reports Rockstar employees were voting on whether to officially recognize a developer union as the Rockstar vs IWBG union employment tribunal neared its close on the eve of Grand Theft Auto VI’s release.
