This is a new development in a story we reported earlier: Shift Up adds Nikke DLC to Switch 2 Stellar Blade at no extra cost.

Key facts

  • Nintendo Wire reports the live-action launch trailer runs roughly 90 seconds and carries the tagline Tale Eve Everywhere.
  • Nintendo Wire describes a scene where EVE tucks a person in with a stuffed toy before hunting an alien creature, plus a picnic scene where someone throws a can of Elixir Carrot to EVE.
  • Nintendo Wire states reviewers have responded well to the Switch 2 port and calls the togglable 30 fps cap an improvement after demo concerns about forced frame-generation for 60 fps.
  • Nintendo Life awarded Stellar Blade: Complete Edition a score of 7/10, praising combat and exploration while saying visuals and performance are not as good as hoped.

Shift Up released Stellar Blade Complete Edition on Nintendo Switch 2 with a live-action launch trailer instead of gameplay footage, launching Nov. 5, 2026 according to RPG Site and Nov. 6, 2026 according to Nintendo Wire.

Nintendo Everything frames the video as a departure from gameplay-focused marketing for the port. Nintendo Wire reports the spot runs roughly 90 seconds with the tagline Tale Eve Everywhere. Nintendo Life calls the ad fun and harmless, saying it highlights the Switch 2‘s portable nature with the message to take EVE wherever you go. Scenes in the spot show EVE tucking a person in with a stuffed toy before hunting an alien creature.

At a picnic, someone throws a can of Elixir Carrot to EVE. Nintendo Life awarded Stellar Blade Complete Edition a score of 7/10, praising combat and exploration while saying visuals and performance are not as good as hoped. Reviewers have responded well to the Switch 2 port, Nintendo Wire reports, and the site calls the 30 fps cap limiting the game to 30 frames per second an improvement after demo concerns about forced frame generation for 60 fps.

RPG Site notes the full release allows players to disable frame generation, which creates extra frames between rendered ones to smooth motion. Noisy Pixel says the Complete Edition includes NieR content built around Emil’s Shop, offering 2B and A2 outfits for EVE, a 9S outfit for Lily, Emil-themed headwear for Adam, and a Pod 042 drone skin. Players can collect Stellar Tears through the collaboration, which adds character-inspired cosmetics.

The Goddess of Victory: Nikke collaboration adds a battle against Scarlet, with rewards for EVE including an outfit, hairstyle, and music track. It also adds shooting-range minigames, a shop, and Nikke collectibles including fishing collectibles. Noisy Pixel reports four Bayonetta-inspired outfits as a free update for PlayStation 5 and PC rather than a Switch 2 exclusive. The outfits draw on Bayonetta, Jeanne, Nun, and Black Tresses.

Noisy Pixel reports Joy-Con 2 motion controls work during certain non-combat activities in the Switch 2 version, and that players can download a free demo, a trial version of the game, from the eShop, an online store for games. RPG Site noted a Switch 2 demo was available on Nov. 2. Nintendo Everything reports the game sells at retail and digitally. Shift Up originally released Stellar Blade on PlayStation 5 before a PC port arrived.

RPG Site said on Nov. 2 that the game could be played on PlayStation 5 and PC through Steam. Nintendo Life questions why EVE interrupts a gaming session to brush teeth and why the ad uses a 4:3 aspect ratio, a squarer screen shape than widescreen video. It calls the spot harmless and better than the AI-generated material Shift Up posted for its upcoming sequel.
