The Steelbook edition adds a case featuring Rintaro, Mayuri, Kurisu, Daru, Moeka, Luka, Faris, and Suzuha.

Noisy Pixel says preordering the standard digital edition on Nintendo Switch or Switch 2 by October 28, 2026, at 11:59 PM PDT includes Steins;Gate Octet of Shifting Space as a limited-time bonus. Once the deadline passes, the bonus game is available only through the digital deluxe edition of Steins;Gate Re:Boot.

Steam players can claim Steins;Gate Octet of Shifting Space as an early purchase incentive until November 30, 2026, at 11:00 AM PDT, according to Noisy Pixel. Noisy Pixel states players purchasing the standard digital edition after the cutoff no longer receive the additional game.

Steins;Gate Octet of Shifting Space originally released for PC in 2011 as a sequel to the original Steins;Gate featuring a Chaos;Head crossover story, according to Noisy Pixel. It offers display modes from eight-color RGB graphics to green monochrome monitor styles. Its soundtrack recreates 1980s FM synthesis and PSG sound chips. Modern platforms support both software keyboards and USB keyboards for the bonus game, and composer Takeshi Abo personally handled its music.

IGN notes the project was announced in 2024 and brings updated visuals, refined UI, and a revitalized story. Re:Boot is the second remake of the visual novel after Steins;Gate Elite, which released in 2019 and used cutscenes from the acclaimed anime adaptation. The Nintendo Switch version of Elite came with a special bonus called 8-Bit ADV Steins;Gate, and it remains unclear whether a similar feature returns in Re:Boot.

Re:Boot introduces a new ending scenario in addition to the six endings in the original game, and a producer said the new ending will feature a new ending song, according to IGN. Rintaro Okabe leads the cast as an eccentric young inventor trying to crack time travel with a group of students through dialogue options and decision-making. The Steam listing for Re:Boot estimates between 30 and 50 hours of gameplay in the new version, according to IGN.
