Nintendo highlighted the real‑life Ocarina integration feature in the overview trailer for the Switch 2 remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.

The remake is scheduled to launch on November 5, 2026. It also includes an in‑game area called the Hall of Fallen Foes where players can view statues of defeated enemies and engage in boss rematches.

Players can hum a learned melody or play an actual ocarina, and the Switch 2 microphone will detect the sound to make Link’s in‑game ocarina mimic the tune. The Switch 2 microphone captures real‑life audio input to trigger the in‑game ocarina response.
