Nintendo announced an Indie World showcase for Oct. 28, 2026, a roughly 15-minute broadcast focused on independent games for Nintendo Switch and Switch 2.

The presentation begins at 7 a.m. Pacific Time on Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2026, which is 10 a.m. Eastern Time. Meristation lists 9:00 a.m. Central Time for U.S. viewers, and GameSpew lists 2 p.m. GMT alongside 7 a.m. PT. Meristation says some viewers will have to wake up earlier than usual to see the upcoming titles. Fans can watch on Nintendo’s official YouTube channel, Twitch, and the Nintendo Today app.

Nintendo made the announcement through the Nintendo Today app and its X account. The showcase will feature new announcements and updates on indie games coming to Switch and Switch 2, with no updates expected on games developed by Nintendo. Meristation says the event focuses on third-party developer titles for Nintendo Switch and Switch 2.

Meristation describes Indie World as independent developers showing new titles and games arriving on Nintendo consoles. Yahoo Tech says the broadcast will cover many games from Nintendo’s third-party partners and give a wider view of lesser-known games headed to Switch systems. GameSpew says indie developers worldwide will announce games spanning many genres.

Nintendo of America said, “Tune in for roughly 15 minutes of new announcements and updates on indie games coming to Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch.”

The showcase will not include anything from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake, which Nintendo is releasing next week. Meristation and GameSpew say no Zelda or Super Mario titles will appear, and GameSpew says viewers should not expect any major first-party announcements. Yahoo Tech calls the remake Nintendo’s 2026 holiday-season blockbuster, noting it received heavy prominence in the September Zelda 40th anniversary Nintendo Direct alongside other Zelda announcements.

Nintendo’s previous Indie World showcase took place in March 2026 and lasted about 15 minutes. That event included DrinkBox Studios’ Blighted, Dogubomb’s Blue Prince, Fireshine Games’ Denshattack!, Beethoven and Dinosaur’s Mixtape, and Moonhood’s The Midnight Walk. Yahoo Tech and Engadget say it also included a port of Minishoot’ Adventures and a shadow drop of Blue Prince, a surprise release with no advance warning. Yahoo Tech notes many games shown then have since been released.

GamingBolt, GameSpew, and GoNintendo say Nintendo may include shadow drops or surprise releases at the October 28 showcase. GameSpew notes Nintendo has been tight-lipped about exact reveals and predicts a good chance of a shadow drop or two, with most games coming to Switch or Switch 2 soon.

Meristation says a little over two months have passed since Nintendo’s most recent Indie World, and credits indie titles with contributing to the Nintendo Switch’s success. Meristation says viewers can see what indie developers are creating or bringing to Nintendo’s hybrid console.

Wario64 posted, “Nintendo – Indie World Showcase announced for tomorrow, Oct 28 at 7 AM PT. Approximately 15 minutes long”
