On October 6, 2026, Sony announced it is adding Fnatic-inspired orange and Glass Purple finishes to the INZONE H9 II headset and INZONE E9 wired in-ear product. The orange finish covers the H9 II’s earcups and microphone windscreen, while the Glass Purple finish extends over the E9 and its bundled 3.5mm-to-USB-C connector. Fnatic, the London-based professional esports team, collaborated with Sony on the color tuning and sound presets for both products.
These visual changes leave the internal hardware, noise cancellation and existing FPS-optimised EQ preset unchanged for the H9 II and E9. The H9 II Fnatic Edition adds a third color option, joining the existing black and white finishes. Similarly, the E9 Glass Purple adds a third color option alongside the black and white versions.
The H9 II is part of Sony’s platform-agnostic INZONE lineup for PC and other devices and uses the same driver unit as the WH-1000XM6 headphones. It weighs about 260 grams without the microphone and provides up to 30 hours of playback when you turn noise cancellation off. Connection options include a 2.4 GHz USB‑C dongle, plus Bluetooth and LE Audio (Low Energy Audio, a Bluetooth audio standard) for mobile use.

The E9 model features a fully enclosed sealed body, which Sony describes as its first such design in the INZONE lineup. Noise‑isolating hybrid ear tips in four sizes are included to reduce background noise through passive isolation. The Glass Purple finish on the E9 is intended to match the existing INZONE Buds Glass Purple, creating a unified color family across Sony’s gaming audio lineup.
Fnatic’s input shaped the FPS‑optimized equalizer preset for the H9 II Fnatic Edition, drawing from VALORANT and Apex Legends players. Sony stated that Fnatic shaped the tuning decisions for the products, though no independent validation of those choices was identified in the available research.
According to SoundGuys’ report, the H9 II was listed at $250 and the E9 at $130, against MSRPs of $349.99 and $149.99. Mashable reported that Sony officially launched the new colorways with the H9 II priced at $348 and the E9 at $129.99, a markdown from the $149.99 MSRP.
In the esports peripheral market, competition is fierce and players look for genuine collaboration rather than just logo placement when choosing gear.
