Questing Goose Studio’s cyberpunk shopkeeping simulator Probably Stolen: Cyberpunk Shopkeeper Sim launched on Steam for Windows PCs on Oct. 28, 2026, and sold more than 350,000 copies within 24 hours, according to PCGamesN, gamersaur.com and Lower Levels Ledger. The game sells only on Steam for Windows PCs, and no console or mobile edition had been announced by October 2026.
Player counts climbed quickly after release. PCGamesN and gamersaur.com reported Oct. 30 that Probably Stolen reached more than 125,000 concurrent players, while SteamDB recorded a peak of 112,145 on Oct. 29, according to Lower Levels Ledger. Tech Insider said the game passed 80,000 concurrent players within 90 minutes of launch and later surpassed 86,000. Developer figures from Oct. 29 put the Steam review rating at 96% positive.

Probably Stolen is a rebranding of Deepspace Emporium, an earlier project whose earlier demo reached only 28 concurrent players before tinyBuild noticed it. tinyBuild CEO Alex Nichiporchik said the publisher partnered with Questing Goose Studio to overhaul visuals, marketing, and gameplay focus. “We loved the concept and gameplay so much that we worked with the dev to reimagine visuals, marketing, and focus on key gameplay mechanics,” Nichiporchik said.
Questing Goose Studio said the game moved over 200,000 units in the first few hours after its Oct. 28 release. tinyBuild said Probably Stolen set a peak-concurrent-player record for its catalogue, a mark that applies only to the publisher’s own projects. “200k copies in the first few hours is nuts,” Nichiporchik said.
In Probably Stolen, players run a storefront on a wealth-split space station, buying from whoever walks in and trying to earn enough to buy the shop before rising rent forces their hand; rent rises over time regardless of how the week went, and a single bad purchase or an illegal bust can end the business entirely. PCGamesN and gamersaur.com reported that the shopkeeper inspects incoming goods, tests water and chemicals, and negotiates with suppliers and buyers to avoid overpaying for inferior stock. Cigarettes get a visual check, water requires testing and filtering, weapons require permits and mods, chemicals require recipes, and rare items require appraisal. At the counter, players can approve, refuse, report, or look away, and the game states that someone is always taking notes.
PCGamesN and gamersaur.com reported that the game includes Augs, augmented beings who look like ordinary people, but a malevolent artificial intelligence governs them, and its laws allow lethal force against them. In-game factions include Security, revolutionaries, fallen elites, and Augs, each wanting different things from the same shelves. Weapons bring inspections, chemicals bring addiction, water brings liability, and contraband brings raids. Four difficulty settings set opening conditions for each run, after which gameplay becomes a weekly argument between cash, reputation, and evidence.
Probably Stolen launched at $19.99 with a 10% discount running through Nov. 11. PCGamesN reported the discounted U.S. price at $17.99 and the discounted U.K. price at £15.29. Lower Levels Ledger listed the European price at €19.99 and the U.K. price is £16.99 before the discount. Denfaminicogamer reported the Japanese price at 1,999 yen including tax, discounted 10% to 1,799 yen through Nov. 12.

The game requires at least Windows 10 64-bit, 8 GB of RAM, and 1 GB of storage. It supports Steam Achievements, Steam Cloud, and Family Sharing, and it has no multiplayer mode. The game also comes in a bundle with ReStory, another tinyBuild-published title from earlier in 2026, at an extra discount beyond the 10% launch reduction.
Probably Stolen launched Oct. 28, the day Nintendo held its Indie World showcase, and three weeks before Rockstar’s GTA 6 on Nov. 19, 2026, giving it breathing room before competing for attention. It went straight to a full launch rather than Early Access, an approach that differs from the wider Steam pattern in which Early Access makes up 13.7% of releases.
Russian, Japanese, and Traditional Chinese outlets covered the launch within a day of release. Bahamut’s GNN reported that Traditional Chinese support is expected, though no official release date has been set. Denfaminicogamer described Probably Stolen as a game where you run a pawnshop in a cyberpunk world. A fan-made browser version at probably-stolen.online exists with original code and art, but it is not published by Questing Goose Studio or tinyBuild.
No independently audited sales figure exists for the launch, and the figure rests on the developer’s announcement and outlets repeating it. The studio said placing 12th on Steam’s most-played list for launch day was beyond anything it had imagined.
