This is a new development in a story we reported earlier: Hello Games releases Forsaken update and No Man's Sky on iOS. Earlier in this story: Hello Games announces No Man's Sky for iPhone and iPad.

Key facts

  • Players can explore abandoned freighters, also described as derelict freighters or deep-space hulks, and search their halls for rewards ahead of Halloween.
  • Forsaken traders can be summoned at space outposts to trade haunting mementos for new biomechanical corvette modules, including cockpits, habs, and hull structures.
  • Seamless warping lets players lock onto bright stars in the space sky and travel directly to nearby star systems without opening the Galaxy Map.
  • Forsaken adds space courier or postal missions, letting players with a corvette and gravitino coil haul packages from deep-space outposts and become a delivery driver across the galaxy.

Hello Games released the free No Man’s Sky Forsaken update, version 7.10, on Oct. 28, 2026. GamingBolt lists supported platforms as Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One, PS5 and PS4, PC, and Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. Multiplayer First notes console players receive update 7.10 | 7.010. Shacknews says the update is free on every platform where the game exists.

Forsaken follows Remnant, Xeno Arena, The Swarm, and Cosmos as the fifth major release in the game’s tenth anniversary year. Hello Games says it still brings the universe to ambitious new platforms and is deep in planning for craziness in 2027. “We’re already deep in planning for what sort of craziness we can get up to in 2027,” Sean Murray said. The remark appears in the Forsaken press release and in Sean Murray’s update letter marking the tenth anniversary.

Players can explore abandoned freighters, also described as derelict freighters or deep-space hulks, and search their halls for rewards ahead of Halloween. These wrecks sit among the spookiest locations in the universe alongside infested outposts and planetary dig sites where players hunt haunted tech and biological horrors, and prolonged exposure to mementos attracts hostile boundary horrors. Players visit derelict hulks, abandoned freighters, planetary dig sites, and infested outposts to find items that enigmatic traders want to collect. “In Forsaken, players will begin searching for rare haunted tech or biological horrors,” Sean Murray said.

Players can summon forsaken traders at space outposts to trade haunting mementos for new biomechanical corvette modules, including cockpits, habs, and hull structures. The living Larva Cannon Multi-Tool is available from forsaken traders for preserved grubs, and determined salvagers can earn a unique player title and Larva Tank helmet customization. These rewards sit alongside new weapon and space suit styles introduced in the Halloween-themed update. “Meet strange traders, collect haunting mementos, deliver mysterious packages and construct an eerie corvette in No Man’s Sky Forsaken,” Hello Games said.

Forsaken adds space courier or postal missions, letting players with a corvette and gravitino coil (ship equipment) haul packages from deep-space outposts and become a delivery driver across the galaxy. Seamless warping lets players lock onto bright stars in the space sky and travel directly to nearby star systems without opening the Galaxy Map. When the current mission target is interstellar, a nearby star appears with the mission icon.

The update adds new Corvette cockpits, an interior set drawing on a distant galaxy for inspiration, new weapon options, and new space suit styles. Hello Games describes the corvette exteriors as beautiful and strange, letting players lean into a creepy and organic aesthetic for sleek sci-fi ships.

A new Minimal HUD mode reduces visual noise for compass, hazard protection, and mission notifications. A radial Multi-Tool mode wheel lets players select Multi-Tool modes. These are long-requested quality-of-life features alongside dozens of accessibility tweaks tied to iOS support.

Deep-space outposts now host a Holo-Arena (creature-battling arena) challenger using a unique battle configuration as part of a space-based overhaul for creature battling. Players can now upload orbital constructions built in deep space to the server, and planetary trading outposts gained a corvette landing pad. The update continues Hello Games’ pattern of adding quality-of-life improvements across the sandbox game.

Players can build the Oxygen Harvester anywhere on a planetary surface rather than only within a base. The patch notes include memory optimization for VR and Xbox Series. They also include a crash fix when suspending and resuming on PS4, and texture memory usage optimization on PS4.

No Man’s Sky launched on iOS on Oct. 28, 2026. iPhone 11 and above and 3rd Generation iPad Air and above are able to try the first part free, and the 4GB download includes all 40+ updates including Forsaken on day one. The port involved custom-made touch controls along with attention to battery life and thermodynamics, and is a single 4GB download.
