Arc System Works announced that BlazBlue: Central Fiction will be released for PlayStation 5.
The PS5 version will add rollback netcode for online matches and support cross‑play with the PC version. It will also add French, Italian, German, and Spanish text options and include new or enhanced Training Mode features.
The PS5 release will come after the TRINITY -PHASE 3- update. The PS5 release is separate from the upcoming Trinity Glassfille DLC, which will appear on PS4 and PC only.
No one has announced an official release date for the PS5 version yet. The announcement gives the long‑running fighter a fresh set of online features.
People welcome the surprise announcement, and it should help BlazBlue: Central Fiction stick around for many years to come. BlazBlue: Central Fiction originally launched in Japanese arcades in November 2015, later arrived on PS4/PS3 in Japan in October 2016, North America via Aksys Games the following month, and on Switch in February 2019.
The last playable character added before Trinity Glassfille was Jubei, released in 2017. The game is currently available on PC via Steam, PlayStation consoles, and Nintendo Switch. The PS5 version may gain from the console’s added horsepower for minor presentation improvements.
