Pure Xbox reported October 21, 2026 that Cyberpunk 2077 supports Xbox Play Anywhere, meaning buyers on Xbox receive the PC version free alongside the console version. The Xbox Play Anywhere tag appeared on the game’s Xbox Store page, and the title was listed as “Installable” on the Xbox PC app as of that date. The outlet said the rollout appeared to be happening when the article appeared.
Pure Xbox reported the game still seemed to prompt Cloud Gaming despite the store-page tag and PC app listing, indicating the cross-entitlement was not yet fully live for everyone. The outlet also said Cyberpunk 2077 is getting a big update later this week featuring console mods and other additions.
Pure Xbox reported that Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade is coming to Xbox Game Pass in October 2026 and is among more Xbox Play Anywhere titles coming that year. The outlet also said rumors suggest Star Wars: Galactic Racer could receive Xbox Play Anywhere support too.
The Pure Xbox writer said they had repeatedly tried to install Cyberpunk 2077 on a ROG Ally handheld and were consistently disappointed because Xbox Play Anywhere was not previously supported. “the fantastic Cyberpunk 2077 appears to finally support Xbox Play Anywhere, meaning you get a free Xbox PC version included alongside the console one!”
