Fujitsu launched the FMV WQ1-L3 Note Q, a compact 2-in-1 laptop, in Japan in late October 2026 for about $685, or roughly 612 Euro. The full model designation is Fujitsu FMV WQ1-L3 Note Q. Fujitsu confirmed the laptop will go on sale in Japan, its home market, while international availability remains undetermined. Fujitsu has made no decision about distribution outside Japan.

The screen measures 11.6 inches with a 1366×768 resolution. It supports touch input, which lets the device function as a 2-in-1 tablet. A 2-in-1 is a laptop that also works as a tablet. The computer is designed as a small, touch-based PC intended for light work on the go.

A dedicated slot stores an optional stylus sold separately. This compartment, combined with the touch display, enables the device to work as a tablet rather than only a conventional clamshell laptop. Fujitsu built the machine for basic productivity while traveling.

The machine weighs approximately 1.2 kg and measures 28.6 × 20.2 × 1.9 cm. Despite its compact enclosure, the device is not the lightest in its class. It remains portable and fit for carrying in a bag.

Processing comes from Intel N150 or N250 chips. Both are 4-core, 4-thread processors that use only efficiency cores. Efficiency cores are processor cores that save power rather than deliver top speed.

The N250 has a boost clock 200 MHz higher than the N150, yet both chips deliver nearly identical performance in testing. Each processor scores about 2,780 points in Geekbench 6. Geekbench 6 is a benchmarking tool that measures processor performance. Notebookcheck runs these benchmarks.

Notebookcheck concluded the laptop is only suitable for lightweight workloads and casual office tasks, not demanding applications. The low Geekbench 6 score leads the publication to that conclusion. Handheld Guru cited Notebookcheck’s benchmarks in its own report.

Memory reaches up to 8 GB of RAM, and storage reaches up to 128 GB. RAM is the memory the system uses while running programs. Storage is where files and applications are kept. These specifications target very lightweight workloads and casual office tasks.

The hardware targets basic productivity rather than demanding software.

The laptop includes a 40 Wh battery. A watt-hour is a measure of battery capacity. The body also features physical volume up and down buttons. It has a power indicator light and a battery status light.

These hardware elements provide users with convenient tactile controls and visual status feedback.

Ports include USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C, USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A, HDMI, and a 3.5mm audio jack. These are types of connectors for cables and accessories. The sparse I/O offering limits the device’s connectivity options.

Notebookcheck compared the FMV Note Q with the Lenovo Yoga 7i two-in-one laptop. The Yoga 7i is available for around $751. The publication presented the Yoga 7i as a more capable machine for U.S. customers. Customers willing to spend a little extra might look at the Yoga 7i instead.

“According to Notebookcheck’s benchmarks, the Intel N150/N250 scores almost the same, with a Geekbench 6 score of around 2,780.” Handheld Guru cited Notebookcheck’s benchmarks.
