EA made Battlefield 6 Season 5 free on Steam from October 13 through October 20, 2026. Season 5 launched on October 13, 2026, adding fresh maps, a half dozen weapons, two vehicles and the Rapid Royale mode.
KeenGamer says the Convergence Event is part of Season 5’s Siege of Las Vegas phase, launching October 13. It adds the Vegas Strip, Area 51, Rapid Royale and four new weapons: Mk 24, RSPR, Z84M and ELR-40.
Inven Global lists the Season 5 weapons as the MK24 assault rifle, RSPR submachine gun, Z84M light machine gun and ELR-40 bolt-action sniper rifle. Inven Global describes Rapid Royale as a narrower, faster-paced battle royale mode in REDSEC that awards redeploy tokens for each kill.
EA discounts Battlefield 6 Standard Edition to $27.99 on Steam through October 20, 2026. The discount represents a 60% reduction from the regular price of $69.99.
Inven Global says Season 5 adds a server browser and Platoons social groups of up to 100 players. It also notes map reworks for New Sobek City and Blackwell Fields.
SteamDB shows Battlefield 6 hit an all-time high of 747,440 concurrent players on Steam, with the peak occurring on October 10, 2025. By January 2026, Battlefield 6’s Steam concurrent count dropped to 30,000–90,000, about a 90% fall from its October 2025 peak.
