NC is bringing the Ludra Hunt raid back to Aion 2 on Wednesday, Nov. 4, PCGamesN reported, after pulling the raid within days of advanced access.
PCGamesN reported the studio removed the raid because players cleared it below the intended progression level, and chose not to reuse the Korean and Taiwanese version after the rapid global clear. NC built the encounter as the pinnacle fight for the global launch, but the fast completion sparked intense debate and left most players unable to attempt it. Some community members suggested the fast clear pointed to pay-to-win microtransactions, the outlet said. The studio also removed gear rewards earned by players who beat Ludra, promising to give them back when the raid returns.
PCGamesN reported the returning fight will use changed attack patterns and new mechanics built for this version. A first-clear event for the returning raid will award special titles to its top 20 parties, with extra rewards for those finishing first and second through fifth. NC said, “We want Sanctuary Raids to create memorable moments.”
A login event running Wednesday, Oct. 28, through Wednesday, Nov. 11, grants two Odyle Energy each day per character to help players prepare for the raid, PCGamesN reported. The Daeva Bootcamp event runs Wednesday, Nov. 4, through Wednesday, Nov. 18, with region-wide prizes tied to total dungeon clears spanning 500,000 to seven million. During the event, players can earn the Lush Leaf Tiara helmet across seven days of login rewards and Twitch Drops for watching Aion 2 streams for up to 14 hours.
