Slavic Magic promoted Manor Lords patch 0.8.117 to the game’s stable branch on Oct. 31, 2026, adding dung collection, fertilizer, seasonal crops, a Fishmonger artisan and six Rural Foundations perks to the Early Access city builder.
Dung Collectors are families assigned to gather waste from pasture animals and haul it to the new Dunghill building. At the Dunghill, Dung Collectors convert dung into fertilizer, and farmhouse workers spread fertilizer on fallow fields, lifting maximum fertility for more than two years. Pasture animals top the list of dung sources, and output varies across species.
VGTimes says applying fertilizer to fallow fields in summer lifts maximum fertility for a bit over two years, and that workers collect manure from pastured livestock and transport it to a dung heap for processing into crop fertilizer. The Dunghill must hold both raw dung and finished fertilizer, and players should place it as far downwind as possible.
The game’s redesigned field calendar lists planned field work for the next 12 months. The patch slightly trims both crop growth speed and the rate at which fallow fertility regenerates, making sustainable farming put fallow cycles ahead of rotating crops. A field with a chosen crop but nothing sown counts as fallow and slowly regains fertility, and villagers plow such fields in spring, summer or autumn only as a low-priority task. Once October passes, unharvested crops wither slowly instead of the game rotating them right away, giving players a short window to rescue some of the shrinking harvest.
Wheat and Rye fit winter planting, though spring sowing brings a quicker, smaller harvest, and Flax, Barley and Oats suit spring only. VGTimes says Wheat and Rye suit autumn or spring sowing, with spring crops maturing faster but producing less.
Six Rural Foundations perks become available at settlement level three: Experienced Forestry, Woodland Beekeeping, Fish Husbandry, Livestock Provisioning, Practical Tillage and Pastoral Practice. The Fishmonger artisan turns Fish and Salt into Smoked Fish. Born of the Alps stops shielding sheep at high elevation and instead increases their wool production there.
Breeding cows and sheep has become easier, the Deep Mine produces less, warbows and crossbows are stronger, and gathering sheaves and threshing now target the rarest grain types first. PCGamesN and GORANKED describe the weapons as stronger, while VGTimes puts the war bow buff at 23% and the crossbow damage cut at 16%. VGTimes also says the farming patch tweaks AI behavior, reworks economy and military management, refreshes the UI and fixes crash bugs.
Slavic Magic says more perks remain in development, but farming improvements took priority because of current Steam Reviews. The developer ran new features through the beta branch in recent months, then pushed a large batch to the main game via the stable-branch update. The developer has also embraced the Manure Lords jokes that the new dung mechanics prompted.

Greg Styczeń develops Manor Lords mainly as Slavic Magic, and the game remains in Early Access. The game costs $39.99 and has 78K recommendations, and it first came out on Apr. 26, 2024, selling on Steam, GOG, Epic Games Store and Microsoft Store and as part of PC Game Pass. Steam offered a 35% discount through September 10, 2026.
The stable patch follows Major Update #8, which launched on the main Early Access branch on Aug. 28, 2026 with the Wide Valley map, cows and calves, oats, cider, mead, cheese and a construction overhaul. VideoGamer said sales of Manor Lords had topped four million copies across all stores by then, and the developer had confirmed another update for late September, with new perks among the expected features.
Through the Livestock Trader, cows can be imported, kept alive for milk, or butchered for beef and hides. The Hungry Animals mechanic makes players feed cows, calves, sheep and lambs in winter, since animals can die without enough Animal Feed. Oats convert to Animal Feed at the Livestock Farm. Cheesemongers become available from Level 3 Burgage Plots to make cheese from milk and salt, while breweries turn apples into cider or honey into mead.
Cows and sheep breed at fixed times of year, shearing happens only in summer, and cows stop giving milk in winter. Construction changes in that earlier update included Construction Yard workers storing and hauling materials with handcarts, with a well-kept yard letting workers build 50% faster, and oxen using Ox Carts to move timber in bulk.
Advanced Structures require professional builders from a Construction Yard for completion, while regular families can still move materials and handle basic work. The Large Stone Church arrives as a new upgrade, and Seasonal Assignment switches building family assignments automatically by season. The update also redrew the main HUD and included AI improvements, balance adjustments, bug fixes and performance optimizations.
GameDropDaily logged 5,665 players, with the count taken at 23:41 UTC on 2026-11-01 as a timestamped Steam sample, and noted that the game remains listed in its tracker, outside the most-played chart.
