Nintendo updates Japanese Switch and Switch 2 releases for October 29, 2026

Nintendo updated the Japanese release schedule for both the Switch and Switch 2 for the week of October 29, 2026, adding new retail and downloadable titles for each platform.

The Switch 2 retail slate lists three physical releases for that week: Anomalith, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Hinokami Chronicles 2 – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition, and Hello Kitty Party Land. Inkfall Game says Nintendo aimed the physical releases at collectors and shoppers who prefer boxed editions.

Switch 2 download releases for the week include Glow Box, Sno: Ultimate Freeriding, and Sulfur as downloadable titles. Inkfall Game states that Nintendo listed Switch 2 downloadable content on the Switch 2 eShop to expand the platform’s library at launch.

The original Switch retail lineup for the week lists Hello Kitty Party Land, Meiji Tokyo Renka: Twilight Kiss, Queen’s Domain, and Tetsudo Nippon Real Pro Rittai Toshi Kotsu Xross Over Nagoya Edition. Queen’s Domain is available October 31. Inkfall Game says Nintendo confirmed that original Switch physical releases will ship to Japanese retailers during the week of October 29, 2026.

Switch download releases include Air Hares; Asylum, available October 30; Before All Saints Day; Bella Umbrella; Capsule Arcade; Choice of Life: Samosbor; Death Room Boys: A Psychological Horror Killing Game; Death Room: A Psychological Horror Killing Game; Devil & Angel Sky Battle; Distorted Paranormal Activities; Dog Man: Bark in Action; Easy Fishing Simulator; Escape Game R00M18; and Exorcist: Guns of Heaven. Inkfall Game describes the Switch digital storefront influx as substantial, spanning indie experiments to established franchises, and many titles carry specific availability dates for the original Switch.

Additional Switch downloads are Fallen City Brawl; Glow Box; Hellbound Inc; Hokko Spaces, available October 30; Innocent Memory; Kowloon’s Gate Suzaku; Melting Attacker; Olivia; Sulfur; The Last Cat in the Universe; The Night of the Exorcism, available October 30; Tom the Postgirl; Yet Another Zombie Survivors; Zombie Bullets Deadzone; and Zombie Outbreak: Last Stand Survival. Glow Box and Sulfur appear on both the Switch 2 and Switch download lists. Hello Kitty Party Land is scheduled for both Switch 2 retail and original Switch retail.

The October 29 Japanese slate pairs Switch 2 retail entries such as Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Hinokami Chronicles 2 – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition with continued original Switch support. Nintendo maintains digital and retail availability on both systems.

It states its October 2026 Switch 2 list is not complete and does not cover every planned game.

CQ-Esports reported on September 27, 2026, that at least 12 Switch 2 games were set for October 2026, including Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 on October 23, described as the franchise’s listed Switch 2 debut after it skipped the original Switch, and The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake on November 5, 2026. It cautions that dates are the current schedule rather than a guarantee.

CQ-Esports reported that the October 2026 Switch 2 schedule begins October 8 with Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival and Order of the Sinking Star. It Takes Two and The Jackbox Party Pack 12 follow on October 15. Three Resident Evil editions arrive on October 16: Resident Evil 2 Deluxe Edition, Resident Evil 3, and Resident Evil 4 Gold Edition. Final Fantasy Resonance and Nintendo Switch Sports Resort are listed for October 22.

CQ-Esports also reported that Minecraft: Bedrock Edition is scheduled for October 27. The Wolf Among Us Remastered closes the month on October 29.

CQ-Esports describes Nintendo Switch Sports Resort as October’s major Switch 2 exclusive and identifies The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake as the year’s biggest Switch 2 release, scheduled for November 5, 2026. The outlet warns that scheduling risk, not a lack of content, is the main concern for Switch 2 owners in October 2026, with dates subject to last-minute delay.
