Arc System Works releases Demons’ Night Fever on PS5, Switch, and Steam

Arc System Works America, Inc. released Demons’ Night Fever worldwide on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and Steam on October 25, 2026, priced at $39.99.

Other reports had previously set the launch for October 22, 2026. Anime News Network, GoNintendo, and Inven Global cited that date. RPG Site’s report places the release on October 25 instead. The sources disagree on the exact launch date.

Demons’ Night Fever is an unconventional stat-raising strategy RPG centered on enjoying evil. Sohei Niikawa produces the title, and SuperNiche and Drecom develop it. Anime News Network notes Niikawa created Disgaea and revealed SuperNiche in March 2025.

The story takes place on another Earth where the most wicked Devil, Giga Super Death, becomes a helpless baby moments before killing God and partners with Killshiro Katanaka, who despises the world. The plot involves regaining the lost power of Giga Super Death to defeat a false god wearing a mask of justice.

In battle, the Peon Exploitation System has players sacrifice allied Peons, using Kill Skills and Sacrifices to detonate underlings as the fastest path to victory. GoNintendo describes fighting with disposable minions instead of comrades because evil has no allies. RPG Site frames detonating underlings with your own hands as the shortest route to victory.

The Perverse Points system lets players train characters in a hideout by spending points earned through misdeeds to build an ultimate evil army within a limited time. RPG Site pairs Perverse Points with suspicious Abductions and Pillaging to strengthen characters within limited time, while Inven Global describes the points as accumulated through evil acts.

The game uses a Raising Speedrunning Simulation RPG structure in which players must resurrect the Devil quickly by clearing stages before a deadline expires, or face game over. GoNintendo explains that training at a relaxed pace causes time to run out and trigger game over, and Anime News Network lists the genre with that exact phrase.

Tatsuya Yano composes the music, Yuji Himukai designs characters, and Roman Kitayama writes the original story and scenario. The cast features Yūya Hirose as Killshiro Katanaka, Kaori Mizuhashi as Giga Super Death, Sayumi Suzushiro as Mary Haley, and Nobuyuki Hiyama as God. Voice acting is available in Japanese and English, while subtitles cover Korean, Japanese, English, Traditional and Simplified Chinese, and French. The physical Korean edition releases on PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch. Arc System Works Asia accepted pre-orders for the physical Korean edition from October 2 to October 20, 2026, ahead of its October 22 launch.

Arc System Works Asia began serializing the eight-chapter web comic DEMONS’ NIGHT FEVER Begins on October 1, 2026, depicting Kyoshiro, a programmer who hates the world, meeting the Devil Giga Super Death. The publisher began the comic on its official social media accounts. Gamers Heroes reported that players can follow Demons’ Night Fever on official Facebook, Twitter/X, Bluesky, and Instagram channels.

Sohei Niikawa left Nippon Ichi Software as president in 2022 for personal reasons and announced SuperNiche in March 2025. Anime News Network reported that Niikawa joined Nippon Ichi Software in 1996, worked five years in sales and promotion, became president and CEO in 2009, served as president of NIS America, and is credited with creating Disgaea.

syudou performs the opening theme song Dropout, and Arc System Works streamed the opening movie to celebrate the release. Anime News Network reported that Arc System Works began streaming the opening movie on Monday, with syudou performing Dropout. RPG Site notes Arc System Works unveiled a graphic showcasing syudou, the creator of the main theme song Dropout. Anime News Network listed the game’s genre as Raising Speedrunning Simulation RPG, including this official genre classification in its report on the opening movie reveal.

RPG Site reported that defeating a chapter’s boss transforms the game’s setting, allowing players to experience diverse misdeeds such as fighting Super Rangers as a monster or crushing Magical Girls as a witch. The outlet described this warping world as part of the story where no act of evil is off-limits.
