Fenris Creations announced Oct. 29, 2026 that EVE Vanguard will enter Steam Early Access in Q3 2027, when the game moves into its beta phase. A live paid alpha for PC opens through the EVE Launcher on Nov. 10, 2026 at 11:00 UTC. Founder’s Packs go on sale starting at $15 USD.
The game is an extraction-adventure shooter that takes place on New Eden’s hostile planets. Players take the role of Warclones, technologically immortal soldiers whose consciousnesses sit in neural implants and transfer between expendable bodies. They raid crash sites, assault forward bases, and seize advanced technology before extraction.
Four Founder’s Pack tiers are available: Resonant Pack at $15, Contraband Packs at $30 each, Fulcrum Pack at $100, and Legacy Pack at $514. Every pack carries a Resonant Key and the Deployment-Ready Bundle, and each grants entry to the alpha and the eventual full release.

The $15 Resonant Pack offers permanent access through the EVE Launcher to the finished game, along with a Deployment-Ready Bundle of weapons, grenades and gear, the Keshik M247 Tier-2 blueprint, and a support crafter program blueprint. Contraband Packs cost $30 USD apiece and tie to four mercenary corporations: Circle of Huskarl, Crux Special Tasks Group, Amarr Templars, and Zumari Force Projection. Every one comes with a Resonant Key, that corporation’s skin line across all four weapons, an empire weapon charm, and a blueprint for a weapon or piece of equipment. The $100 Fulcrum Pack includes a Resonant Key, all 16 weapon skins, all four faction emblems, every faction blueprint, and the Banshee M247, a faction variant weapon available to buy only during Founder Access.
The $514 Legacy Pack contains all Fulcrum Pack contents plus an exclusive Avalon weapon emblem, VIP Discord access, a video call with the developers, the buyer’s name in the lore, and a ticket to EVE Fanfest 2027. The $514 price pays tribute to DUST 514, CCP’s earlier ground-combat game in the EVE universe.
The Nov. 10 alpha introduces three maps: High Castle, a high-security deployment map with player-versus-player damage disabled; Vorago, a low-security chasm filled with hostile forces and opposing Warclones; and The Vault, a competitive PvP maze where three squads of three fight to pull out rare Weapon Cores. Weapon Telemetry grants access to stronger variants and new loadout choices as players use weapon families, and the Gallente BR-60 Battle Rifle joins the arsenal. The build also brings improvements to aiming, enemy behavior, healing, and grenades. A refreshed tutorial and new mission series with narrative briefings introduce players to life as a Warclone, and a Jobs Board offers short missions for rewards and resources.
A new Vanguard suit allows vaulting and mantling over medium and high cover, and an overhauled user interface (UI) reworks squad formation, fitting, deployment, and reports after battles.
The alpha opens with the EVE Online: Fractured Skies content update, creating the first permanent 24/7 link between EVE Vanguard and EVE Online. Warclones finish jobs that create campaign sites in highsec and lowsec space, and EVE Online capsuleers capture those sites for valuable rewards, including items that support Military Campaigns. While the alpha runs, players may sign up with one of New Eden’s four empires and run jobs to move their Warclone forward. Finished missions and expeditions create War Effort for their chosen empire’s Factional Warfare campaigns.
Come Q2 2027, Warclones can join Factional Warfare and back their chosen empire’s Conquest effort. CCP’s 2026 roadmap centers on Theaters of War, Factional Warfare, and structured Military Campaigns, and the company places Vanguard at the center as the ground-combat layer.
EVE Vanguard once aimed for a summer 2026 Early Access launch, and the Steam store page carried a Q3 2026 window into mid-2026. The studio shifted the launch to Q3 2027 and swapped that plan for an always-on paid alpha through the EVE Launcher. Limited, time-limited Steam playtests will occur before Early Access, though the studio has not announced dates.
Fenris Creations is developing the game, with the Fenris London team handling ongoing development. Scott Davis is the Game Director for EVE Vanguard, while Snorri Árnason is the Executive Producer of the EVE Universe.
The Steam page lists CCP as both developer and publisher, with online PvP, online co-op, an English interface and audio, subtitles, and Easy Anti-Cheat operating at the kernel level. The page points to frequent realistic sci-fi combat, with gunfire, explosions, blood effects, and human-character deaths. The game is set in a dark dystopian universe built on war, violence, corporate conflict, and loss. It also discloses AI-generated text-to-speech for certain voice-over content, while all writing, gameplay, worldbuilding, and creative vision remain authored and curated by the developers.
Minimum specs call for an NVIDIA RTX 2060 or AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT GPU with 6 GB of VRAM, 16 GB of DDR4 RAM, 50 GB of SSD storage, broadband internet, and Windows 10 or Windows 11 64-bit. Recommended specs list an Intel i5-11600K or AMD Ryzen 5 5600X CPU, an NVIDIA RTX 3080 or AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT GPU with 8 GB or more VRAM, 16 GB of DDR4 RAM, and 50 GB of NVMe storage. CCP’s FAQ says resets between playtests and Early Access are likely, and that player inventory and progression will become persistent once Early Access begins.
The November build follows the Operation Avalon playtest from July 2026, and feedback from that test shaped the release. Scott Davis said players shared what they liked, what annoyed them, and what drew them back for another deployment. Operation Nemesis, a free event for new Warclones, ran from Sept. 16 to Oct. 2, 2025. It brought PvE operations, expedition content, Mordu’s Legion foes, Nemesis Drone encounters, and a direct tie between Vanguard and EVE Online activity, including the Resurgence new player experience.
The event included Sulphur Basin, a greybox 9v9 PvP map where Warclones battled over Upwell cannons and control of the battlefield.
Scott Davis described the current build as an alpha that includes bugs, and said joining now lets players help shape the experience while the team develops it. “With deeper progression and more reasons to return, we’re ready to move beyond short playtests,” Davis said. Snorri Árnason said, “Founders will be the first on the ground and write the next chapter with us.” EVE Vanguard’s alpha marks the start of ongoing live development, with Founders shaping its evolution through regular play and feedback, and roadmap dates and features subject to change.
